Rae Lakes Loop

This loop contains some of the most celebrated scenery in all of California- Boasting impressive panoramic views of glacially carved canyons, stunning lake basins, waterfalls and breathtaking granite towers and peaks. Elevations on this magnificent trail range from 5k to 12k ft, providing the most full value experience and every kind of terrain the iconic sierra nevada range has to offer!

This trek follows well maintained trails and has a moderate to challenging hiking distance of 7-11 miles, depending on the length of trip chosen. There will be days of higher elevation gain than others and rocky sections of trail with bigger step-up and step-downs. Due to the length and elevation gain of this trek, it is considered a challenging Level 4-5 hike. This difficulty rating decreases to a level 4 with a 6 or 7 day option. Weight carried will be between 30-40lbs. A resupply drop off is available for an additional charge to make this more manageable!
